June 5, 2021-45kms (The Grind is Officially On!)

If there was any uncertainty as to whether or not I was into the grind with my cycling last ride, this evening stamped that as being undoubtable-the grind is on! I was reminded very clearly how much challenging it is to cycle when it is hot and humid! What a tough ride this was! It was peaceful, but I sure was happy to get off that bicycle for many reasons lol! No bulldogs, no driver confrontations, just a whole lot of fatigue and rump discomfort he he. I had another difficult day going into this ride and it took a lot of push to get out there, yet, my trusty cycling had me feeling so much better by the end! It doesn't hurt that when I reach the finish I have an awesome mom (where I keep my bicycle and start my ride from) who sets me up with cold drinks, an ice bag, and some grub when I finally feel like I can eat; a cold pop with ice never tasted so good! My conditioning is improving though, but yes, the leisure rides are a thing of the past now!

Freddy, sounds like you have an awesome Mom. Mental health issues are a family affair, I’m so glad your Mom is there for you. Heather and I are doing this journey TOGETHER!

many days I feel like I’m getting back more than I gI’ve. We all need love and support. I believe Heather’s mental health issues have brought us closer TOGETHER. I’m certain your Mom would readily say the same.
